A heat exchange-type ventilation apparatus (4) equipped with a humidifying function comprises: a heat exchange-type ventilation device (5) that performs heat exchange between a discharge air flow (15) which flows through an internal discharge air passage for discharging air RA in an indoor space (2) to the outdoors, and a supply air flow (16) which flows through an internal supply air passage for supplying air OA from the outdoors to the indoor space (2); a humidification device (6) that humidifies the supply air flow (16) after heat exchange; and a control unit that controls the operation of the humidification device (6). The control unit also performs control in which: if an output capability value which specifies a humidification amount of the humidification device (6) is no greater than a reference value, humidification is performed by the humidification device (6) without adding the air RA in the indoor space (2) to the supply air flow (16) after heat exchange; and if the output capability value exceeds the reference value, humidification is performed by the humidification device (6) upon adding the air RA in the indoor space (2) to the supply air flow (16) after heat exchange.
