Abstract:
A heat exchanger has: a fin section formed by stacking plate-like fins in such a manner that the fins are arranged at a distance from each other in the direction perpendicular to the direction of flow of a heat medium, the fin section comprising a primary heat exchange section for exchanging heat between the heat medium and a refrigerant, the fin section also comprising a secondary heat exchange section having a narrower heat exchange region than the primary heat exchange section; first primary pipes and second primary pipes, the first and second primary pipes allowing the refrigerant to flow therethrough and being passed through the portions of the plate-like fins, which are located in the primary heat exchange section, in the stack direction; a liquid-side header for connecting one end of each of the first primary pipes and the other end of liquid piping having one end connected to the secondary heat exchange section, the liquid-side header being disposed on one end side of the fin section; a gas-side header connected to one end of each of the second primary pipes and disposed on the one end side of the fin section; hairpin pipes which, on the other end side of the fin section, connect the other ends of adjacent first primary pipes and also connect the other ends of adjacent second primary pipes; first secondary pipes and second secondary pipes, the first and second secondary pipes allowing the refrigerant to flow therethrough and being passed through the portions of the plate-like fins, which are located in the secondary heat exchange section, in the stack direction, the first secondary pipes each having one end connected to one end of the liquid piping, the second secondary pipes each having one end serving as an inlet/outlet opening for the refrigerant; and connection members which, on the other end side of the fin section, connect the other ends of the first secondary pipes and the other ends of the second secondary pipes and extend in the direction parallel to the direction of flow of the refrigerant.
