Abstract:
Provided is a heat exchanger with which adequate performance can be exhibited on both the upwind side and the downwind side in the airflow direction even when an increase in ventilation resistance due to the adhesion of frost is delayed, and with which the pressure resistance of flat multi-hole tubes is easily ensured. This heat exchanger is equipped with flat multi-hole tubes (63) having a plurality of channels (63b) aligned in the airflow direction, and fins (64) in which the flat multi-hole tubes (63) are inserted and secured in notches (64a) cut from the downwind side toward the upwind side in the airflow direction, and which have continuous parts (64x) joined at the top and bottom on the upwind side of the flat multi-hole tubes (63). In addition, the relationships 0.18 ≤ L/Wt ≤ 0.32 and 2 ≤ a/b ≤ 16 are satisfied, where L is the distance from the upwind end of the flat multi-hole tubes (63) to the upwind end of the fins (64) in the airflow direction, Wt is the length of the flat multi-hole tubes (63) in the airflow direction, a is the total value of the width in the airflow direction of the first and second channels (63b) from the upwind side in the flat multi-hole tubes (63), and b is the width in the airflow direction of the center channel (63b) in the airflow direction in the flat multi-hole tubes (63).
