Abstract:
A core (1) of an oil cooler according to the present invention includes a plurality of first plates (11), second plates (12), and heat-transfer plates (13) each comprising a thin metal plate. The first plates (11) and the second plates (12) are alternately laminated on each other with the heat-transfer plates (13) interposed therebetween. The first plates (11) each have first openings (21) for forming an oil flow path (51) and openings (22, 23) for ports. The second plates (11) each have second openings (31) for forming a cooling water flow path (52) and openings (32, 33) for ports. The oil flow paths (51) and the cooling water flow paths (52) are adjacent to each other with the heat-transfer plates (13) interposed therebetween. Heat is exchanged with high efficiency by setting the thickness of the flow paths (51, 52) closer to the thickness of a thermal boundary layer.
