Abstract:
The present invention provides a lightweight and thin heat-insulating and flame-shielding sheet which is used while being interposed between respective cells in an assembled battery obtained by connecting and laminating battery cells in series or in parallel. This heat-insulating and flame-shielding sheet has a thickness of at most 3 mm and is obtained by paper-making a dispersion containing 25-70 wt% of a silica-based inorganic fiber having a hydroxyl group, 2-25 mass% of a glass fiber, 5-40 wt% of a fibrous mineral, 3-20 wt% of a binder, and 0-45 wt% of heat insulation imparting inorganic particles. The heat insulation imparting inorganic particles include hydrophilization-treated aerogel particles obtained by subjecting the surfaces of hydrophobic aerogel particles having a porosity of at least 80% and an average particle diameter of 5-200 μm to a hydrophilization treatment.
