The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a heat pipe structure in which the heat transfer properties from a base block to a heat pipe are excellent and the fixation stability of the heat pipe to the base block is excellent, even when the heat pipe is thermally connected to the base block using a crimping means; and a heat sink provided with the heat pipe structure.　The heat pipe structure comprises: a base block having a back surface section that can be thermally connected with a heat-generating element; and a heat pipe that is fixed to a front surface section of the base block and includes a heat-receiving cylindrical section arranged along the in-plane direction of the base block. The base block has a lengthwise direction and a width direction and comprises a recess in which the heat-receiving cylindrical section is accommodated. A container section of the heat pipe is fixed in the recess by crimping, and a first metal section containing a first metal having a melting point of 130ºC to 400ºC and/or a first metal alloy having a melting point of 130ºC to 400ºC is formed between the recess and the outer surface of the container section.
