Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide heat-sealable paper having excellent impact resistance and processability. This heat-sealable paper has at least one heat-sealable layer on at least one surface of a paper base material, wherein in the paper base material, if X1 is the tensile energy absorption in the vertical direction as measured according to JIS P 8113:2006, Y1 is the tensile energy absorption in the horizontal direction as measured according to JIS P 8113:2006, X2 is the specific tensile energy absorption in the vertical direction as measured according to JIS P 8113:2006, and Y2 is the specific tensile energy absorption in the horizontal direction as measured according to JIS P 8113:2006, the geometric mean of X1 and Y1 is 120 J/m2 or more, the ratio of X1 to Y1 (X1/Y1) is 0.5-2.0, and the geometric mean of X2 and Y2 is 2.0 J/g or more.
