Abstract:
A heat-sensitive recording material obtained by forming a heat-sensitive recording layer, which contains a basic dye and a developer, on a supporting body. The developer is composed of at least one N-substituted amino acid derivative represented by general formula (1) (R-X)m-Y-(Z)m. (In formula (1), R represents an optionally substituted alkyl group or aryl group; X represents a group bonded to the N-terminus of Y, which is -OCO-, -SO2NHCO-, -NHCO-, -NHCS- or -SO2-; Y represents an amino acid residue or a peptide residue; Z represents a group bonded to the C-terminus of Y, which is an OH group or an OR" group; in cases where Y is an amino acid residue other than a cystine residue or a peptide residue having no cystine residue, m = 1; in cases where Y is a peptide residue having n cystine residues, m = n + 1; and n is 1 or 2.)
