Abstract:
Provided are a heat shielding structure and a method for adding a heat shielding structure, whereby non-heat-shielded portions can be eliminated and heat shielding performance can easily be increased. The present invention is provided with: a plurality of frame members (22) fixed to inner wall surfaces (14a)-(14d) of wall bodies (12a)-(12d) for forming an internal space (18); and a sheet-shaped heat shielding member (30) fixed to the frame members (22) so as to cover the inner wall surfaces (14a)-(14d) with no gap therebetween, and so that air layers (16a)-(16d) are formed between the inner wall surfaces (14a)-(14d) and the heat shielding member (30). Among the pair of principal surfaces of a substrate layer in the heat shielding member (30), an infrared-reflective layer is formed on the principal surface thereof that faces the inner wall surfaces (14a)-(14d).
