Abstract:
A steel sheet for a heat shrink band having a yield strength of 24 kg/mm2 for use in making a cathode ray tube of aperture grille type, characterized in that it has a magnetic permeability of 400 to 650 at a magnetic field of 0.3 Oe; and a method for producing the steel sheet which comprises subjecting a steel sheet containing 0.5 to 2.0 % of Si to a cold rolling, and annealing the resultant sheet at 600 to 800 °C.
