Abstract:
[Problem] The purpose of the invention is to provide a heated toilet seat device that, when heating is initiated, heats the toilet seat quickly to a temperature that does not feel cold and which is capable of keeping the magnetic field from affecting the body after the user sits. [Solution] A heated toilet seat device equipped with: a main toilet seat body with a heat-generating part obtained from an electric conductor; an induction heating coil that generates a magnetic field for induction-heating of the heat-generating part; a control part for controlling the passage of electric current to the induction heating coil; a human body-detecting part for detecting the presence of a human body; and a sitting action-detection part for detecting the sitting of a user on said main toilet seat body. The heated toilet seat device is characterized in that when the presence of a human body is detected by the human body-detecting part, said control part initiates a first heating mode of heating the main toilet seat body by passing electric current to the induction heating coil and, after the sitting action-detection part detects the sitting of the human body, switches to a second heating mode wherein the amount of current passing to the induction heating coil is smaller than the amount of current passed in the first heating mode.
