Title:
HEATING, MORE SPECIFICALLY HEATING ELEMENT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/100253
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Heating element for precluding extra loading of roofs and growth of ice formation and snowfall, by the dowπcomming natural load, by which the roofs can no longer carry the ballast thus formed and there must be considered that there is a reasonable chance that for this reason the roofs can partly or wholly collapse, According to the invention in view of the small weight of the described elements on practically all roofs on which these elements are applied, without extra weight load on the structure lying below, so that this will collapse. By the fast removal of melting water (and rainwater) obtained by the open structure of the elements, the roof surface will be removed from its superfluous weight.

Heating element, more in particular, of the type, in which a closed cassette is encased within the interior the heating element is enclosed, which is fastened on a element that is filled with foam isolation, characterized in that, that when the forming of ice has started and ballast which is caused by snowfall, the electronic element will automatically switch into the heating position, by which the formation of ice and snow will melt, so that the one or more roofs will not be unnecessary heavily loaded, by which the collapse of roofs is precluded. The melting water will be fast removed by the open structure around and below the shell element filled with isolation.

Description:

Title: Heating "MORE IN PARTICULAR HEATINGELEMENT"

The invention relates to a heating, but more in particular to a heating element, which has been incorporated in a coffer of synthetic material, which is fastened on top of a box filled with isolating foam. Fig. nr 1

Such foam isolations are generally known and are applied on a large scale in the building industry, the popular name thereof being foam isolation .

This foam isolation is arranged in a shell made out of synthetic material, of the sizes of 400 x 400 x 4 mm , Fig. number 2, and has as object to stop the heat entering the underlying buildings through the roof, by which the working climate for the people on the production floor is made more agreeable.

Recesses of 5 mm are provided around the shell elements, which recesses have a left open space of 10 mm when they are coupled.

Recesses are provided at the corners of these elements, which corresponds with pertaining unions, which are also made out of synthetic material, with the sizes of 250 mm round with a height of 60 mm.

By coupling the elements with the unions an opening is formed below the shell elements of 20 mm.. Around the shell elements one has a drainage opening of 10 mm. By coupling the shell element with the unions a disc action is formed, by which the blowing away of the coupled elements is precluded.

Recesses have been made in the unions, for mounting the heating element which is further described below.

According to the invention a heating element is mounted on the already described, filled shell elements, which heating element is constructed as follows.

The heating elements consists out of two thin plates of synthetic material, between which a heating element is arranged. Fig. nr 3.

At the bottom side of this heating element fastening points are provided, which fit into the openings of the earlier mentioned unions of the shell elements fitted with foam. Fig. nrs 4 and 5.

The heating elements are locked into a hermetically closed box of synthetic material. In this way the electrical heat source cannot come into contact with moisture and short circuiting is excluded in this way.

Said heating elements are perfectly suitable to be applied on roofs, when the roof is loaded extra by the snow layer, by which the collapse of the buildings is considered not improbable .

The electronic elements are fed together, to compartments of which each has a connecting point to the electrical network for this system.

As soon as the outside temperature falls to a certain cold limit, at which ice is formed, or in case of snowfall the snow stays laying on the roofs, the feeding of electricity is automatically switched on, by which the heating element will start to glow en will release its heat by which the down coming snow will melt, and the ice will have no possibility for further growth.

Through the openings at the edge of the shell element and the free passage opening being present there below, the melting water (and rainwater) will find its way very fast to the said drains which have been provided for this purpose According to the invention the collapse of buildings which are not provided with a good drainage, of rainwater, can be precluded, which risk can be in the interest of the people being present on the production floor there below.
