Description:
Heating pellet stove or boiler equipped with a cleaning system Technical field of the invention

The present invention relates to a heating pellet stove or boiler equipped with a cleaning system of the points that are not accessible from the outside, where accumulation of ash and dust takes place along the way of the combustion gas, through a sliding system of extraction or through a simple suction system so as to remove or to carry away the ash produced and accumulated in those points .

State of the art

In heating pellet stove or boiler, during combustion the fuel burns and produces, at the same time, heat, combustion gases, ash and dust. Most of the ash falls into the collection drawer located under the hearth and another part of ash and dust is dragged by the combustion fumes. In the past, some have thought to remove the ash produced in the furnace falling through the grate into the ash drawer.

The most common system of removal of the ash produced in the furnace is the extraction and emptying of the ash drawer disposed under the hearth. A system of automatic removal of the ash is disclosed in US-B-5797333 which describes a system for removal of ash from the collection drawer below the hearth through an auger that carries away the ash from said drawer.

Another system is in US-B-4363674 describes a system of suction of the ash that is collected in the drawer under the hearth of wood-burning stoves or coal stove through an aspirator.

None of these systems has thought to solve the problem of removing ash and dust that accumulates at some specific points of heating pellet stove or boiler. In heating pellet stove or boiler ash and dust will deposit and accumulate in the points where the path of the flue gas changes direction. In particular, under the suction fan and at the base of the flue of heating pellet stove or boiler combustion fumes are forced to change direction to be sucked or pushed upwards. The ashes and dust that are heavier than the combustion gases can precipitate and accumulate causing the narrowing of the passage section with a worsening of the draft conditions of heating pellet stove or boiler. Currently the problem is solved with the intervention of a technician who periodically disassembles the heating pellet stove or boiler and cleans said parts that are not accessible.

Summary of the invention

The present invention has the main purpose to remove and to take away the ash and dust that settle below the suction blower and at the base of the flue. The removal and taking away of ash and dust produced during the combustion takes place in all the compartments in which said ash and dust can accumulate and is done either manually or automatically or with a simple maneuver through the introduction of the suction nozzle of a home vacuum cleaner within holes pre-drilled for the purpose in the compartments where the ash and dust is going to settle.

Advantageously, the extraction or suction is made when the heating stove or boiler is started and when the machine is cold, and the ashes and dust are deposited, in this way the heating stove or the boiler will be started after the ash and the dust will have been removed and the machine is clean and will have higher efficiency. Moreover such a solution decreases air pollution, as a lesser amount of fine particles may be entrained and dispersed into the atmosphere by the convective motion of the combustion fumes.

The main purpose of the invention is achieved through a domestic heating pellet device such as a heating pellet stove or boiler equipped with a cleaning system comprising a hearth, a suction fan, a flue, characterized by the fact that in combination comprises also a first compartment that collects the ash of the hearth, a second compartment that collects the dust positioned under the suction fan of the fumes, a third compartment that collects the dust positioned at the base of the flue and that the third compartment is equipped with a scraping means controlled from outside through a handle.

Another characteristic is given by the fact that the first and the second compartments form a single sliding extractable drawer.

Another characteristic is given by the fact that the third compartment is an extractable drawer.

Another characteristic is given by the fact that the first, the second and the third compartment are each provided with a hole connected to a suction system for the removal of ash and dust. Another characteristic is given by the fact that the vacuum system that sucks and takes away the ash and dust from the compartments is an automatic centralized system that starts whenever you turn on the heating stove or boiler.

Another characteristic is given by the fact that the suction system which sucks and carries away the ash and dust from the compartments is a domestic vacuum cleaner.

Another characteristic is given by the fact that the holes of which are equipped the compartments are adapted to receive the nozzle of a domestic vacuum cleaner.

Other features and advantages of the invention will become clear from the description of an embodiment given, below, by way of non-limiting example in Figure 1.

Brief description of the figure

Figure 1 is a section in a heating stove that includes a cleaning system according to the present invention. Description of a preferred embodiment of the invention

Referring to Fig. 1 the pellet heating stove, represented in it, but it could also be a boiler, comprises a combustion chamber (1), a suction blower (2), a flue (3), a first compartment (4), that collects the ash of the hearth (1), ) is placed below the grate of the heart (1), a second compartment for the dust (5) is positioned below the suction fan (2) of the fumes that collects dust contained in the combustion gas, and a third compartment (6) that collects the dust at the base of the flue (3) being the flue equipped with a dust reducer system (7), made preferably but not exclusively by baffles attached to the walls and facing downwards. The first compartment (4) is a sliding drawer and extractable together with the second compartment (5) for the removal of ashes and dust collected in the respective compartments. The third compartment (6) that collects the dust at the base of the flue (3) is equipped with a scraping means (8) which is externally controlled through a handle (9) that drives the scraping means (8).

The third compartment (6) that collects the dust at the base of the flue (3) is an extractable drawer from the outside. Each compartment (4, 5, 6) is provided with a hole connected to a suction system which sucks the ash and dust away from the compartments (4, 5, 6) and collects in a container ready to be disposed. The suction system is automatic and is activated every time you start the heating pellet stove or boiler.

In an alternative version of the suction system is replaced by a common domestic vacuum cleaner where the nozzle is inserted manually into the holes of each compartment (4, 5, 6) to collect dust and ashes without the risk of spreading them as you can do when you manually empty the drawers of each compartment.

The draft in the heating stove or boiler is maintained efficiently. The section of the path of the flue gas is not restricted by deposits and accumulations of ash and dust.

Occasionally, through the handle (9) the scraper means (8)is put in action which frees the flue from accumulated deposits that may fall into the third compartment (6). The ash and dust can be advantageously removed through the extraction of the drawers or through suction. The advantage of such a system is obvious, and in this way it is possible to keep the heating stove or boiler always clean without interventions of specialized technicians as heating stoves or boiler on the market today require.

The invention, it should be noted, is not limited to the representations given in the figure, but may be perfected and modified by those skilled in the art without, however, exceeding the limits of patent.

The invention permits numerous advantages, and to overcome difficulties that could not otherwise have been overcome with the systems on sale at present.
