Abstract:
A high-dimensional modulation-based optical communication method and system, and a storage medium. The method comprises: determining the modulation dimension of high-dimensional modulation, and selecting a target constellation point; performing non-binary forward error correction (FEC) coding on a sent information bit stream; mapping the encoded bit stream onto the target constellation point so as to form a high-dimensional symbol; and sending the modulated high-dimensional symbol.
