Abstract:
The herein disclosed art provides a CO2 absorbent material having improved CO2 absorption characteristics. Such a method for producing a CO2 absorbent material includes: preparing a first powder containing lithium silicate particles or lithium zincate particles; mixing the first powder with a second powder containing alkali carbonate particles and alkali nitrate particles to obtain a powder containing first composite particles in which the alkali carbonate particles and the alkali nitrate particles are aggregated on surfaces of the lithium silicate particles or the lithium zincate particles; mixing a third powder containing magnesium carbonate particles with the second powder to obtain a powder containing second composite particles in which the alkali carbonate particles and the alkali nitrate particles are aggregated on surfaces of the magnesium carbonate particles; and mixing the powder containing the first composite particles with the powder containing the second composite particles to obtain an aggregate-containing powder mixture which has a CO2 absorption capability and in which the first composite particles and the second composite particles are aggregated.
