Abstract:
Provided is a high-resolution pulse width modulation signal generation circuit, comprising: a control module, which generates rising and falling edge delay amounts; a PWM counting module, which generates a PWM signal; a delay module, which performs a delay operation on the PWM signal on the basis of the rising and falling edge delay amounts; an output selection module, which outputs an output signal of the PWM counting module or the delay module on the basis of an output selection signal; and a calibration module, which counts frequency division signals of ring oscillator signals of the delay module on the basis of a counting clock, and which implements the calibration of the delay amounts according to the relationship between the ring oscillator signals and the counting clock. According to the present invention, the resolution of a PWM signal is improved without changing a counting clock; a delay module is taken as the subordinate extension of a PWM counting module according to a multiple relationship between the counting clock and a delay chain, thereby facilitating control, and improving the precision of the PWM signal; and MUX is used as the minimum delay unit and delay selection logic of the delay chain, thereby reducing the inherent delay, and facilitating a reduction in the error of the delay chain.
