Abstract:
The present invention relates to a high-resolution three-dimensional scanning method and system that can acquire a highly detailed geometry by linking volumetric fusion and multi-view shape-from-shading (SfS) in two steps, the method comprising the steps of: acquiring scalar depth values by estimating illumination; estimating photometric normals and diffuse albedos using the scalar depth values obtained from the estimated illumination; and integrating the scalar depth values into a volumetric distance field and fine-tuning the photometric normals and the diffuse albedos to blend same in the texture space.
