Abstract:
A high-speed differential quad cable (1) comprises four signal lines (10) twisted rightwards or leftwards and each including an inner conductor (11) formed by twisting a plurality of lead wires (11a) and a dielectric layer (12) formed around the outer circumference of the inner conductor; and an outer conductor (16) disposed outside the signal lines and including a plurality of lead wires (16a) that are twisted in the same direction as the twisting direction of the four signal lines. It is inferred that the behavior of the four signal lines will be similar to that of the outer conductor when the cable slides since the twisting direction of the four signal lines and that of the outer conductor are the same as described above. As a result, degradation of the characteristic impedance and the attenuation of the cable in the early stage of sliding of the cable can be suppressed.
