Abstract:
The present invention provides: a molded body containing a cellulose-based nanomaterial and a thermoplastic resin, and having improved mechanical strength and thermal properties; and a method for manufacturing same. The present invention pertains to a composite molded body (C) containing a cellulose-based nanomaterial (A) and a thermoplastic resin (B), wherein the area under the stress-strain curve (AUC1) of the composite molded body (C) is at least twice the area under the stress-strain curve (AUC2) of a melt molded body (D) having the same composition as the composite molded body (C). [The stress-strain curve is obtained by subjecting the composite molded body (C) or the melt molded body (D) to a tensile test, with the strain (in %) on the horizontal axis and the stress (in MPa) on the vertical axis, and the area under the stress-strain curve is the area under the region of the curve bound by the horizontal axis from the origin (stress 0) of the stress-strain curve to a fracture point of the composite molded body (C) or the melt molded body (D).]
