Abstract:
Known HPD cells comprise separate air supply pipes consisting of expensive, ceramic material. An air deflector is provided in a pipe, said air deflector being likewise costly to produce. According to the invention, lateral through holes are provided as means for conducting air out of the pipe, thus eliminating the costly air supply pipes. The production of HPD cells is essentially simplified in that the bottom element of the HPD cell is produced, for example, in the form of a compressed bottom cap comprising an integrated air deflector.
