Abstract:
A singlet bonding state may arise from the hybridization of molecular orbitals in a cluster containing several atoms in a material. This singlet state can move about the lattice as a bosonic preformed pair with low binding energy that is spatially bounded, has short range attractive interaction with other preformed pairs, and that can undergo Bose-Einstein condensation.
