Abstract:
A small-size, low-cost high-voltage power supply used for image forming devices of electrophotographic type and neon signs. The power supply has at least a high-voltage transformer and a drive circuit for driving the high-voltage transformer. To a high-voltage power supply for supplying voltage to a load connected to the secondary side of the high-voltage transformer, a high-voltage switch circuit for switching the polarity of a dc output voltage generated on the secondary side of the high-voltage transformer and a control circuit for controlling the switching of the high-voltage switch circuit according to the load current flowing when the dc output voltage is applied are added.
