Abstract:
A hinge for opening and closing a dust cover (8) of a record player. In order to accomplish the purpose that the hinge body does not appear externally and the dust cover (8) is stably held at an intermediate opening angle with a minimal backward protrusion, the hinge is composed of a cabinet (1), a dust cover (8), a slider (4) embedded in each of the side portions of the rear part of said cabinet (1) so that it can move vertically, a spring (5) for actuating the slider (4) upwards, a support member (7) detachably attached to said dust cover (8) and pivotably mounted on the cabinet (1) by a hinge pin (9), and a catch member (7C) attached to the support member (7) so as to make contact with the top of said slider (4). To the thus composed hinge, a special means for stably holding the dust cover at the intermediate opening angle is added as another embodiment.
