A hoisting system and a hoisting method. The hoisting system comprises a floating crane (1), wherein a lifting hook (2) is arranged on the floating crane (1), a lifting sling (5) is connected to the lifting hook (2), and a displacement end of the lifting sling (5) is connected to a heavy object (12) by means of a lifting strap (9). The hoisting system further comprises an electrical assembly for controlling the lifting sling (5) to work. The displacement end of the lifting sling is directly connected to the heavy object by means of the lifting strap, and the extension length of the displacement end is accurately regulated and controlled by means of the electrical assembly, thereby accurately controlling an attitude adjustment of the heavy object in air, and the heavy object conveniently moves to a designated position and is then directly and accurately mounted, thereby reducing the attitude adjustment time after the heavy object is hoisted, and improving the hoisting efficiency.
