Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a holder with which coolant can be introduced to a cutting blade part efficiently and which has excellent debris discharge properties, and to provide a cutting tool equipped with this holder. [Solution] A cutting tool (10) for which an insert (1) having a rod-shaped shank part (2) and a cutting blade part (3) is inserted into an insertion hole (21) provided at the tip of a holder (20) and thus is affixed to the holder (20), wherein, when viewed from the side, the tip of the holder (20) includes a first curved surface part which widens toward the rear and has a curved line that extends rearward from the rim of the aperture of the insertion hole (21), or has a straight line that extends from the rim of the aperture of the insertion hole (21) and a curved line that continues rearward from said straight line, with no corner parts.
