Abstract:
Hollow fibers composed of cuprammonium cellulose fibers having continuous hollow portions throughout the whole length of the fibers, which have a wall thickness of 5 to 35 mum throughout the whole fiber length and periphery and have a round cross section of 50 to 500 mum in outer diamter, wherein the permeability of cytochrome C having a mean molecular weight of 12,400 is 20 to 40 % and whose maximum fractionation molecular weight with an inhibition ration of 95 % is about 40,000, and an artificial kidney using said hollow fibers for dialysis.
