Abstract:
A honeycomb structure that comprises an outer circumferential wall, partitioning walls that are provided inside the outer circumferential wall and demarcate a plurality of cells that extend from one end surface to another end surface to form channels, and magnetic particles. The magnetic particles include secondary particles that are aggregates of primary particles. In a cross-sectional image of the honeycomb structure, the percentage of primary particles that form secondary particles is 40%–100%, and the particle size D50 that corresponds to a cumulative frequency of 50% by number of the primary particles is 5–100 μm.
