Abstract:
This hood locking device comprises a locking mechanism, wherein the locking mechanism includes two latches. The two latches are configured to fix an engine hood in a closed position by hooking a striker provided in the engine hood of a vehicle, and are configured to release the fixing by opening the striker. The two latches include engagement portions configured to have a protrusion-and-recess shape and engage with each other. The two latches are rotatably supported by a base plate fixed to the vehicle, and are configured such that hooking directions with respect to the striker are opposite to each other. One of the two latches has an operation cable attachment part for a right handle, and the other has an operation cable attachment part for a left handle.
