Abstract:
Disclosed is a hoop type tee joint for a CPVC fire-fighting plastic pipe system. The hoop is used for the connection of a pipe the main pipe of which is galvanized steel or another material to a CPVC fire-fighting pipe; when a CPVC pipe branch needs to be provided on the main pipe that is another material or galvanized steel, only one hole needs to be punched onto the pipe wall of the main pipe; the hoops according to the present invention are clasped onto the main pipe, and a pipe adapter on the hoop is enabled to be linked with the hole, so that multiple branches of the CPVC pipe are disposed on the main pipe, which may improve the problem that a metal mechanical tee joint must be mounted before connecting an original galvanized steel pipe or a pipe of another material to a CPVC pipe, and then a plastic joint one end of which is a metal male-thread and the other end of which is CPVC material is screwed on to be able to complete the conversion of pipes of different materials to a CPVC pipe. The present invention completely changes the structural arrangement and connection method of a metal mechanical tee joint on a main water pipe in a conventional fire-fighting system, and promotes the popularization and application of CPVC material plastic pipes to gradually replace original galvanized steel pipes. The present invention may obviously alleviate labor intensity and reduce material costs, and has the advantages of saving materials, saving space, easy mounting and good sealing performance.
