Abstract:
The present invention provides a host group-containing polymerizable monomer that can be used as a raw material for manufacturing a polymer material having excellent toughness and strength, a method for manufacturing the host group-containing polymerizable monomer, a polymer material manufactured using the host group-containing polymerizable monomer, and a method for manufacturing the polymer material. The present invention provides a host group-containing polymerizable monomer, the host group-containing polymerizable monomer having a sulfide group, the host group being a monovalent group obtained by removing one hydrogen atom or hydroxyl group from a cyclodextrin derivative, the cyclodextrin derivative having a structure in which the hydrogen atom of at least one hydroxyl group of cyclodextrin is substituted with at least one group selected from the group consisting of hydrocarbon groups, acyl groups, and -CONHR (where R is a methyl group or an ethyl group).
