Abstract:
A hot-forging shaping process for a joint hinge comprises the following steps: (1) heating a blank to 1050~1150℃ by an intermediate frequency furnace; (2) upsetting the heated blank slightly by a pneumatic hammer to remove the oxide scale on the surface of the blank; (3) forming the unfolding sheet of the joint hinge by the pre-forging die of a friction press; (4) then forming the joint hinge by the finish-forging die provided with a V-shaped concave die of a friction press; (5) truing the joint hinge by a hydraulic truing machine; and (6) shot blasting the joint hinge by steel shots in order that the forged joint hinge appears silvery white. The hot-forging process for a joint hinge through single heating has advantages of high efficiency and low cost, and the oxide scale is thin, so it can be removed before forging, therefore attaining excellent surface quality. The forged joint hinge appears silvery white after shot blasting, which facilitates surface inspection of the forged joint hinge.
