Abstract:
The present invention provides a hot-rolled steel material for tanks, the hot-rolled steel material containing, in mass%, 18.0% to 20.0% of Cr and 8.0% to 13.0% of Ni, while having an Md30 expressed by formula (1) of 35°C or less. With respect to this hot-rolled steel material for tanks, the hydrogen (H) content in a surface layer part, which extends from the surface of the steel material to the position corresponding to 1/5 of the sheet thickness in the depth direction, is 3.5 ppm by mass or less; and the tensile strength is 600 MPa or more.
