Abstract:

The present application provides hot work die steel and a preparation method therefor, and a piston forging forming die and a preparation method therefor. The hot work die steel provided by the present application comprises the following chemical components in percentage by mass: 0.35-0.41% of C, 0.40-0.60% of Si, 0.40-0.50% of Mn, 0.025% or less of P, 0.015% or less of S, 4.90-5.10% of Cr, 1.5-1.6% of Mo, and 0.35-0.40% of V, with the balance being Fe. The present application further provides a preparation method for a piston forging forming die, comprising the following steps: subjecting the hot work die steel to rough machining, preheating treatment, quenching, high-temperature tempering, and finish machining in sequence to obtain a die blank; and subjecting the die blank to surface strengthening treatment to obtain a piston forging forming die. Experimental results show that the die prepared from the hot work die steel provided by the present application can be used for forging 7,000-10,000 pieces.
