Abstract:
The present invention relates to a household appliance (1) comprising a control panel (2), more than one capacitive type touch sensor (3) integrated to the control panel (2), providing application of functions like opening, closing or other auxiliary functions by sensing the touch of the user, a control unit (6) disposed at the underside of the control panel (2), having a drive circuit (4) that produces voltage signals so as to generate a constant electrical field in the touch sensors (3) and a sense circuit (5) that evaluates the signals received from the touch sensors (3), more than one conductive line (7) providing the connection between the drive circuit (4) and the sense circuit (5) with the touch sensors (3), a grounding shield (8), extending to regions remaining between the touch sensors (3), that decreases the cross-talk problem by isolating the touch sensors (3) and a grounding line (9) providing the connection between the grounding shield (8) and the ground (G).
