Abstract:
A hovertrain and a track, drawing on the principle of hovercraft suspension; a rectangular space, which is slightly shorter and narrower than an upper carriage (3), is enclosed at the bottom of the upper carriage (3) by a rubber plate elastic skirt (7), and is fitted on a smooth cylindrical track panel (1); the rectangular space is filled with compressed air by an air blower, and the rectangular space thus obtains upward buoyancy. According to the air pressure of existing mature and cheap air blowers, a pressure of 15,000 N/m2 can be ensured, and therefore a rectangular space having an area of 30 m2 can float 45 tons of weight. The fit between the cylindrical track panel (1) with a smooth surface and the rubber plate elastic skirt (7) is much better than the fit between a hovercraft and, for example, the ground. Therefore, the train can be lifted by 5-8 mm without the need for excessively large air volume, which is consistent with the suspension height that can be achieved by magnetic suspension. The train travels forwards and backwards in the same way as a maglev train, and the greatest advantages thereof are that the safety of train traveling is fundamentally and thoroughly solved in an extremely simple manner (suspension), the safety being ensured by the gravity of the Earth, and automatic centering and automatic alignment, providing a better riding experience, and doubling the carrying capacity; compared with a maglev train, the suspension of the train body depends on compressed air, such that the train has high safety and a simple structure, the train and track costs and the construction costs are much lower, and the train and the track are convenient and simple to maintain.
