Abstract:
A howling control device and a howling control method for controlling the time until the howling suppression release according to the howling generation condition, thereby eliminating repetition of howling suppression and release. A signal input to an input terminal (110) is divided by a band division unit (101) into signals of a plurality of frequency bands. A band level calculation unit (102) calculates band levels of the divided signals of the plurality of frequency bands. A band level average calculation unit (103) calculates an average value of the band levels. A howling detection unit (104) detects howling according to the band level and the band level average value and counts the time when no howling is generated. A wait time setting unit (105) decides a wait time to be set this time according to the time when no howling is generated and the previous wait time. A gain control unit (106) delays for the wait time resetting of a gain to be set in a howling suppression unit (107) to a normal value.
