A hub unit (1) with a steering function comprises: a hub bearing (8) that rotationally supports a vehicle wheel (10); a cylindrical steering shaft part (24) that extends upward and downward from an outer ring (22) provided on an outer circumferential surface of a rim (12) of the hub bearing (8); a steering actuator (4) that rotates the hub bearing (8) around the axis (AX) of the steering shaft part (24); a unit support member (6) that supports the hub bearing (8) with respect to the vehicle body so as to be rotatable around the axis (AX) of the steering shaft part (24); and an arm part (28) that projects in the vehicle rear direction from the outer ring (22) and to which the actuator (4) is coupled. The actuator (4) has an expansion/contraction part (42) that freely expands and contracts in a direction orthogonal to the axis (AX) of the steering shaft part (24), and the expansion/contraction part (42) and the arm part (28) are coupled via a coupler part (44) having a degree of freedom in at least two directions.
