Abstract:
A humidifier (10) having, in a humidifier main body (11): a water supply port (111) for supplying water to a water storage tank (13); and an outlet (112) for humidified air. A water supply path (20) linking the water supply port (111) and the water storage tank (13) has provided therein a rectifying mechanism that causes water to be supplied while suppressing vibration of the water surface inside the storage tank (13) when water is supplied from the water supply port (111). A distance sensor (15) detects the level of the water surface in the water storage tank (13) and, if water has been supplied from the outlet (112), the output value from the distance sensor (15) increases while oscillating. The control unit notifies that water is being supplied from the outlet (112), if the output value for the distance sensor (15) is oscillating and increasing.
