Abstract:
A humidity control device has a compressor (53), an electrically operated main expansion valve (55), a first adsorption heat exchanger (51) and a second adsorption heat exchanger (52) which carry an adsorption agent for adsorbing moisture in air, and a refrigerant circuit (50) in which a refrigerant reversibly circulates to perform a vapor-compression refrigeration cycle.  The humidity control device reversibly switches between the directions of circulation of the refrigerant in the refrigerant circuit (50) to cause adsorption operation and regeneration operation of the adsorption agent to be alternately performed by the two adsorption heat exchangers (51, 52), thereby adjusting the humidity of air passing through the heat absorption heat exchangers (51, 52).  The refrigerant circuit (50) is provided with an auxiliary heat exchanger (61) mounted on the upstream of the adsorption heat exchangers (51, 52) with respect to the direction of flow of regenerating air and previously heating the regenerating air supplied to the adsorption heat exchangers (51, 52), and also with a refrigerant adjusting mechanism (62) for adjusting the amount of the refrigerant flowing into the auxiliary heat exchanger (61).
