Abstract:
A controller (14) of a hybrid vehicle comprises a travel mode setting unit (64) and
a hybrid control unit (62). The travel mode setting unit (64) selects as the travel
mode of the hybrid vehicle one of an HV travel mode in which the hybrid vehicle is
made to travel at least by operating an engine (2) according to the accelerator depression
position or the vehicle speed and an EV travel mode in which the hybrid vehicle
is made to travel by operating a motor generator while stopping the engine (2).
The hybrid control unit (62) controls the engine and motor generator according to
the result of the selection by the travel mode setting unit (64). The hybrid control
unit (62) determines the replacement times of consumed parts relating to the
engine (2) according to the record of the operation of the engine (2).
