Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a self-supporting hydrogel which can be produced simply by mixing at room temperature and to provide a method for producing the hydrogel using a material that is industrially easy to obtain. [Solution] A hydrogel forming composition with which a self-supporting hydrogel can be formed, the composition comprising a water-soluble organic polymer (A) having an organic acid salt structure or an organic acid anion structure, a silicate (B) and a dispersant (C) for the silicate with a weight average molecular weight of 200-20000 and hydrolysis resistance.
