Abstract:
Provided is entirely-cloudy hydrogen-containing ice that contains molecular hydrogen but substantially does not contain unreacted metal hydrides or reaction products. The hydrogen-containing ice is obtained using a method for manufacturing hydrogen-containing ice, which is characterized in comprising a step for bringing liquid nitrogen and feedstock hydrogen into contact so that rapid freezing occurs and ice is produced, the feedstock hydrogen containing supersaturated nano-bubble molecular hydrogen. The molecular hydrogen in the hydrogen-containing ice obtained using the manufacturing method can be held without separating from the ice. The hydrogen-containing ice contains no unreacted metal hydrides or reaction products, and accordingly can be used, as appropriate, for food and beverages as well as a wider range of applications.
