Abstract:
Disclosed in the present invention are a hydrogen fuel cell bipolar plate base material and a method for preparing a foil thereof. The base material comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 0.1-0.5% of Cu, 0.5-1% of Nb, and 0.05-0.2% of Ge, with the balance being Ti and inevitable impurities. The method comprises: weighing required raw materials according to components of a base material to be prepared; melting the raw materials to obtain a round ingot of a preset specification; forging the round ingot and performing hot rolling on a coil strip to obtain a hot-rolled coil strip; performing cold rolling processing on the hot-rolled coil strip to obtain a titanium alloy foil; and annealing the titanium alloy foil. According to the present invention, starting from component design, the conductivity of a titanium alloy is improved by adding trace alloy elements, without losing the corrosion resistance and extensibility of the material, and the corrosion resistance of the base material is improved, so that the service life of a hydrogen fuel cell is greatly prolonged.
