Abstract:
A hydrogen generation device and a fuel battery system equipped with the hydrogen generation device wherein the possibility of carbon deposition from a raw material gas in a pressure supplementing operation after a stop processing operation is stopped is suppressed more than that in the past.
The hydrogen generation device is provided with: a raw material supplier (102, 103) which has a function of cutting off the supply of a raw material; a water vapor supplier (104, 105) which has a function of cutting off the supply of water vapor; a reforming device (108) which comprises a reforming catalyst (109) and generates a hydrogen containing gas using the raw material supplied from the raw material supplier and the water vapor supplied from the water vapor supplier; a closing device (116) which cuts off at least the gas passage downstream from the reforming device; and a controller (140) which while hydrogen is contained in the reforming device at the time of stopping, cuts off the supply of the raw material from the raw material supplier and the supply of the water vapor supplied from the water vapor supplier and closes the closing device and which subjects reduction in the pressure inside the reforming device accompanying reduction in the temperature of the reforming device after the closing of the closing device to the pressure supplementing operation of supplying the water vapor from the water vapor supplier while the hydrogen is contained in the reforming device.
