Abstract:
A hydrogen mixed gas generation method that uses a device that comprises a heating part that has: a heating pipe that contains a reduction promotion member; and a heating device that heats the heating pipe. The hydrogen mixed gas generation method includes a first step and a second step. The first step is for allowing raw water to flow into the heating pipe, heating the raw water to produce water vapor, heating the generated water vapor to 500°C–800°C, and bringing the water vapor into contact with the reduction promotion member, which is heated along with the raw water, to reduce the water vapor and produce hydrogen gas. The second step is for diluting the hydrogen gas generated during the first step to obtain a hydrogen mixed gas that has a hydrogen gas concentration of 500–20,000 ppm.
