Title:
HYDROGEN PERMEATION TEST DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/049379
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A hydrogen permeation test device (1) according to an embodiment of the present invention uses an electrochemical hydrogen permeation method to measure the amount of hydrogen penetrating a metal material, said test device comprising: a metal test piece (2) having a hydrogen penetration face (2a) that is penetrated by hydrogen, a hydrogen detection face (2b) that detects penetrating hydrogen, and metal plating, formed on the hydrogen detection face, for efficiently detecting hydrogen; a reference electrode (5b) and a counter electrode (4b) for advancing an electrochemical reaction; an electrolysis vessel (3b), housing an aqueous sodium silicate aqueous solution (6) that has a freezing point of 0°C or less and provided on the hydrogen detection face side of the device, that houses the reference electrode (5b) and the counter electrode (4b), and is capable of keeping residual current to 10 nA/cm2 or less when the electric potential of the hydrogen detection face (2b) is –1V to 1V with respect to the reference electrode (5b); and measurement units (7b, 8) for measuring the hydrogen amount on the basis of the value of the electric current value yielded by the electrochemical reaction.
