Title:
HYDROGEN PEROXIDE RESISTANCE-IMPARTING GENE AND METHOD FOR USING SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/121150
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a gene that is useful for imparting hydrogen peroxide resistance to a microorganism. Also provided is a method for using the same. The hydrogen peroxide resistance-imparting gene encodes a protein selected from the following (a) through (c): (a) a protein formed from an amino acid sequence represented by Sequence No. 2, (b) a protein having hydrogen peroxide resistance-imparting capability formed from an amino acid sequence wherein one or more amino acids have been deleted, substituted or added in the amino acid sequence of (a), and (c) a protein having hydrogen peroxide resistance-imparting capability formed from an amino acid sequence that has 85% or greater identity with the amino acid sequence of (a).
