Abstract:
A scooter powered by a hydrogen powered internal combustion engine (10) fueled by a throttled (41) stream of air into which a controlled amount of hydrogen is injected. A hydrogen fuel control system (20) is used to control the amount of hydrogen injected into the throttled (41) air stream using multiple parameters (26, 43). The amount of hydrogen present in the hydrogen storage unit (21) is monitored using an on-board hydrogen fuel measurement system (60) utilizing a microcontroller (66) and multiple sensors (63, 64, 65).
