Abstract:
The hydrogen production system according to an embodiment is provided with: a rectification device to which a first electric power is supplied from the outside and which outputs a second direct current electric power; an electrolysis tank with multiple cells to which the second electric power is supplied and which electrolyze an aqueous alkaline solution; a buffer tank connected to the cathode side of the multiple cells; a compressor that is connected to the buffer tank and is for compressing a gas; and a control device for selecting whether or not to supply the second electric power to each of the multiple cells.
