Abstract:
Provided is a hydrogen production system capable of inexpensively producing high-purity hydrogen gas, which is applied to a method for producing hydrogen via formic acid decomposition. In a hydrogen production system (S) comprising a formic acid reaction tank (1) in which a mixture fluid (M) of non-solid state carbon dioxide (CD) and hydrogen gas (HG) is produced by catalytically decomposing a hydrogen storage agent containing formic acid, a cyclone separator (3) is provided for separating the mixture fluid (M) into the non-solid state carbon dioxide (CD) and the hydrogen gas (HG).
